If you feel like you’re spinning your wheels in the mud with regards to manifesting your desires, it is very likely a result of an internal subconscious program that is blocking your progress using the law of attraction. As I’ve mentioned in prior articles, the subconscious mind is a set of automatic behaviors, emotional reactions, beliefs, and attitudes that function like a computer program that has been written as a result of your life’s experiences up to this point. By the time we are roughly 35 years old, 95% of who we are is a subconscious program.
In order for a program to operate efficiently, it must operate utilizing a set of known variables. The subconscious mind is no different – so in order to operate efficiently it clings to what it knows, even if those variables produce negative effects. If you attempt to change any of those variables, the subconscious mind will kick in and start pointing out the reasons why you should not change them, effectively putting the brakes on your ability to utilize the law of attraction in a positive way. It will bring up past negative experiences and use those as a way of convincing you that the future will turn out the same. This leaves us paralyzed and stuck in the same patterns of life indefinitely.
In order to overcome your internal programming, you need to begin by redirecting and assigning new meaning to the self-talk that hinders our success. Here is a strategy that you can use to redirect your subconscious mind and utilize its power to create a positive result.
3 Steps to Enhance Law of Attraction Manifestations
Step 1 – Think of something you want to accomplish or manifest in your life. Then pay particular attention to the thoughts that start to emerge as you think about that thing. You may hear things such as; “There is no possible path that can allow this to happen”, “You’re wasting your time”, “You don’t have the skills or the knowledge to make this happen”, etc. Write them down so you are fully aware of what your subconscious mind is trying to tell you.
Step 2 – Now, imagine placing all of those thoughts inside of a box. On the outside of the box is a large label that reads “IRRELEVANT” in bold red letters. Now – seal the box with the strongest tape you can imagine. Place the box on top of a large pile of wood and ignite the pile. Watch as the blaze consumes the box and reduces the thought patterns to smoldering ash and smoke. As the fire burns, feel yourself become liberated from the negative thoughts that have been weighing you down.
Step 3 – This is the step that many skip, but it is probably the most important law of attraction step. In this step, you will begin to rewrite your automatic program to produce thoughts that will drive you towards your goals. Take a moment to imagine your future-self after you have achieved your goal. Imagine how the achievement of that goal makes you feel. Pay special attention to the emotions you feel having reached your goal, and how it has enhanced your life. Don’t worry about how you got there or the steps you took to get there – only focus on the end result. When you feel yourself drifting away from this scenario, bring yourself back. Every time you do this, you are training your subconscious that you are in control. Eventually, after you’ve done this over and over again, it will relinquish control and submit to your will.
This simple strategy will help you regain power over your outer reality by overcoming your automatic programs and altering the message that is being sent when you think about your goals. Anytime you feel stuck using the law of attraction, or you feel like your desires are not manifesting, take a moment to go through these steps and identify any negative self-talk that may be occurring that you were previously unaware of. With those thoughts out of the way, you will have a clear path to create anything that you desire!
